Laredo TX mayor says city caught in cross hairs over border wall
Pete Saenz, the mayor of Laredo, Texas, on Saturday told a crowd of a few hundred people who were gathered on the banks of the Rio Grande to protest a planned border wall at a public park, that his city is "caught in the cross hairs" over the controversial border wall. The entire Webb County is slated to have a 52-mile-long and 30-foot-tall border wall built under money that President Donald Trump appropriated by calling it a "national emergency" and taking federal funds. Saenz says it "takes warriors who are willing to fight" and he is headed to Washington, D.C., on Monday to meet with DHS officials. (Border Report Video/Sandra Sanchez).
