It was a close game, but the Dallas Cowboys pulled out a victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. That makes two games that the Cowboys have won on the road. Kicker Brett Maher made a 42-yard field goal as time expired to give the visiting Cowboys a 22-19 victory over the Falcons. That victory keeps their playoff hopes alive.
The Cowboys defense was a big part of this win. They were playing without four defensive linemen, along with Linebacker Sean Lee. They kept the Atlanta offense to four field goals and only one touchdown. The Cowboys were able to drive downfield with Dak Prescott leading the way for his seventh fourth quarter comeback. That got the Cowboys in the position for victory and gave Bret Maher the chance to make the winning field goal after missing an extra point earlier.
Dallas has a quick turn around on Thanksgiving Day, as they host division leader Washington Redskins.
