SAN BENITO, Texas – A local high school bringing a manufacturing seminar to their campus. In the process they’re showing students what the industry is all about.
San Benito CISD hosting the summit in partnership with the Workforce Solutions Cameron, a panel of professionals speaking to students about the job skills needed to enter the business. The manufacturing forum speaking to students to help prepare them for the future.
Isabel Solis, San Benito High School Principal, “The skills in math, in science, in art, in the technology, in the engineering field is exactly what you are going to go and do at the job market and so they’re going to be paying you for those skills not just minimum wage but high earning wage.”
San Benito CISD offers classes to students wanting to get into the manufacturing industry. Solis says the classes connect what students are doing in the classroom to what they will be doing out in the field.
