UPS delivery truck destroyed by fire

News

A UPS delivery truck destroyed in a fire. It happened around 10:00 a.m. on westbound South Loop 289 between University and Indiana Streets in Lubbock.

The UPS driver smelled something strange and pulled over, that’s when she looked back into the truck, and saw a fire had started among the packages.

The driver got out of the truck safely, but the fire burnt through the exterior of the truck within just minutes, melting most of the frame away.

Lubbock Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the flames.
