Three fugitives arrested

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – On Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, South Padre Island Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at 3813 Padre Blvd.

Further investigation led to the detention of three subjects who were later confirmed to have active warrants from other agencies.

All three subjects were arrested without incident and are pending arraignment at South Padre Island jail facility. 

Defrain Dontea Rodriguez (28) from Copperas Cove, Texas has two active warrants from Brownwood, Texas Police department for aggravated kidnapping and felony assault (family violence).

Kayla Marie Hall (24) from Copperas Cove, Texas, has an active warrant out of Coryell, Colorado, for fraud and failure to appear. 

Timothy Sedric Martin Blackwell (27) from Copperas Cove, Texas, has an active warrant from the Belton Police department for evading arrest. Furthermore, Timothy provided a fictitious name to police officers at the scene. He has also been charged with failure to identify.
