Surgeon who helped save lives from deadly shooting is a Valley native

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Dr. Alejandro Rios-Tovar, a graduate of McAllen Memorial High School, is one of the surgeons that helped save many lives in the deadly El Paso shooting. The 2003 graduate went through the International Baccalaureate Programme from McAllen ISD.
