Sheriff’s office to provide active shooter training

EDINBURG, Texas – In light of recent shootings across the country, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office wants the public to be prepared in case it happens the Valley. In partnership with Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, both will be hosting a free active shooter and critical incident training for the community on Sept. 10. Topics include learn how to react to an active shooter and help someone who is injured. The event will take place at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. this evening.
