Residential fire leaves families without homes

BROWNSVILLE, Texas- A massive fire spread through a neighborhood in downtown Brownsville.

The fire occurred on Monroe and 10th Street around 4 P.M. August 9, 2019.

Fire officials tells Local 23 that about six families have been displaced and two animals were rescued.

The high winds are believed to have been the cause of the fires spreading to at least three homes.

No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.
