Police officers placed on administrative leave with pay

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Three Brownsville Police officers are on administrative leave after a 20-year-old man was shot to death earlier this week.

The incident happened on June 17 on Boca Chica Boulevard in Brownsville. Mark Anthony Galvan was shot to death by officers after they say he rammed their squad cars following a high-speed chase. The Texas Rangers are now in charge of the investigation.

It is policy of the Brownsville Police department to put officers, involved in shootings, on administrative leave with pay.
