New commercial project coming soon

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Killam Development, a family-owned business, plans to develop 3,400 acres of a residential and commercial project in Mission and McAllen.

The project will be between Shary Road and Conway Road.

The plan is to build a community where people of all generations can live, work and play.

But for that, they need input on what you would want your ideal city to have.

“They’re going to do an industrial park, they’re also going to do a retail center, they’re going to do a restaurant area also and they’re going to do a residential part also with parks. With walkability areas with good lighting, good security,” said Armando O’Cana, Mission Mayor.

The Mission Economic Development Corporation will host the first meeting for residents who wish to help design this project on January 13th at 6:30 at 801 Bryan Road in Mission.
