A flight attendant who was allegedly caught at a security checkpoint with 70-pounds of cocaine appeared in a New York courtroom today.

Marsha Gay Reynolds surrendered to authorities in New York City Wednesday where she is now charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

But this all started last Friday when Reynolds, a JetBlue flight attendant, was stopped at Los Angeles international airport and singled out for a random security check.

Officials there allegedly found 11 bricks of cocaine, weighing nearly 70-pounds, in her bag.

While they were investigating, Reynolds was able to get on a New York bound JetBlue flight.

A family spokesman says she’s done everything right in her life up until now… And he says when the truth comes out we’ll see “everything is not what it appears to be.”
