More than $1 million in methamphetamine seized at International bridge

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — U.S. Customs and Border Protection seizing a little over $1.7 million worth of methamphetamine at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge.

A 42-year-old male U.S. citizen applied for entry into the United States. During a secondary examination, inspection system and a K-9 unit, CBP officers discovered 74 packages hidden within the vehicle that contained nearly 90 pounds of alleged methamphetamine.

The driver was arrested and taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations.
