McAllen Carfest this weekend

MCALLEN, Texas – This weekend is your opportunity to see the 1998 batmobile or Lightning McQueen at the 10th annual McAllen Carfest.

This years Carfest features more than 250 vehicles ranging from low riders, motorcycles, classic, exotic, and unique cars.

The event ended 9 P.M. Friday but will be open from 10 AM until 9 P.M. on Saturday.

The event will also be open on Sunday from 10 A.M. until 6 P.M.

Tickets for the event are $15 and can be purchased at the door.

“It brings the community together, it brings all the car enthusiasts together, and all they want to do is talk about their cars. That’s all they want to do,” Said Al Diaz, Operations and Maintenance Manager for the McAllen Convention Center.

Organizers also say all money raised from the event, including sponsorships, will benefit more than a dozen charities.
