Workforce Solutions Prioritizing Foster Youth

Local News

“Foster youth is one of our priorities.” That is a statement from Workforce Solutions of Cameron County during the second annual Foster Success Conference. Over 100 students meet at TSTC in Harlingen. Their goal is to empower students in the foster care system and provide them with motivation to become successful adults.

Luciana Morales – Workforce Solutions said, “This population sometimes overcomes more barriers than other populations and we want to be a valuable resource for them.”

We’re told measuring success of at-risk youth can be a difficult task for the agencies involved. Workforce Solutions hopes to show the students that there are opportunities in the community for them.
