CBP OFO officers working at the Hidalgo International Bridge arrested a 36 year-old woman from Gainesville, Texas after attempting to smuggle two children from Mexico.

On Monday, October 12th, a black 2002 Ford F-150 truck, occupied by a woman and three minor children, was sent to secondary inspection after they attempted to enter the United States.

During the secondary inspection, officers discovered that 2 of the 3 children were Mexican citizens and they were released to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources-Office of Refugee Resettlement facility.

The third child was a U.S. citizen and released to family member.

CBP OFO arrested the woman who faces criminal charges for alleged violation of U.S. immigration law.
