MISSION, Texas - On Friday, July 6, more than 25 Home Depot associates from Texas will partner with All Hands and Hearts- Smart Response to help Hidalgo County residents impacted by recent heavy rains, which caused severe flash flooding and damage to homes. Volunteers will blanket neighborhoods in need of support to muck, provide mold sanitation, remove debris and flood-affected materials from homes to help residents begin to rebuild.
As part of the organizations' partnership All Hands and Hearts and The Home Depot Foundation will spend the next two months in Hidalgo County and surrounding communities. Together, the nonprofits will help the community begin the long-term recovery process. This volunteer project is a part of The Home Depot's commitment to helping communities rebuild after natural disasters.
