Valley Couple Accused Of Sexually Abusing, Giving Dust Off Inhalant to Infant

A Port Isabel couple is behind bars. They are accused of giving an air inhalant to an infant and one is accused of sexually abusing an infant.

Authorities were called to the 400 block of Adams street for a welfare check. When officers arrived at the scene they found Casey Lee Callsen and Christina Renee Draper passed out on the floor. A five month old baby was found inside a nearby truck.

The person who alerted authorities also advised officers that prior to their arrival, Casey Lee Callsen reportedly was fondling the small child. He also tells police he witnessed Christina Renee Draper giving dust off-an air inhalant to the infant.

Child Protective Services was contacted and removed the child. Callsen faces charges for possession and inhalant use and aggravated sexual assault. Draper is charged with possession and use of inhalant, injury to a child, abandonment/endangerment of a child, and criminal negligence.

It is not known if the couple is related to the infant.
