BROWNSVILLE , TX – –

A strange sighting along the border.

Images circulating on social media showing a tiger on the Rio Grande River near Laredo.

However, no official confirmation of these pictures has been made.

A reverse search of these pictures shows that outlets in Mexico are also reporting that the tiger in the same photos may be from Tlacotalpan, Veracruz.

Local News outlets in Laredo calling these images fake as well.

Although possibly fake, a Tiger near the Rio Grande River has been found before.

On May of 2018, Border Patrol Agents found a tiger stuffed in a duffel bag along the Rio Grande.

It was cared for in the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville until it was healthy enough to be released to a wildlife sanctuary.
