Thirteenth Court of Appeals upholds murder conviction

The Thirteenth Court of Appeals has upheld the sentence of a convicted murderer.

Adrian Barrera was convicted in the murder of Ramiro Barron back on June 6, 2013. Barrera was accused of shooting Barron over a stolen 9mm pistol on November 12, 2011 in Rangerville. A jury sentenced Barrera to 25 years in prison but Barrera raised a number of issues in his trial. The Court of Appeals overruled Barrera’s issues and upheld his sentence.
