Commissioner of Education, Mike Morath, announced today that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has launched TEA TIME, a podcast designed to provide information on TEA projects, initiatives, programs and specific public education issues.

The inaugural episodes of TEA Time feature discussions with Commissioner Morath as he helps explain the A-F State Accountability Rating System for school districts. The system will be used for the first time on August 15.

“With a podcast format, parents can listen at their convenience to get the information to help make solid decisions regarding the educational needs of their child,” said Commissioner Morath. “The Tea Time episodes offer an avenue to learn more about issues, such as state accountability ratings, in a more in-depth and direct way.”
