Suspect in credit card theft case identified

The Brownsville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of stealing a person’s vehicle and using their credit card.

The man is identified as Adrian Guadalupe Abundis, 43, and according to investigators he is wanted in connection to a vehicle theft, in October, where the victim’s purse was also stolen and her credit card that was then used to purchase gas for a black Chevy Equinox.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Abundis is asked to call Brownsville Crime Stoppers at 956.546.TIPS.
