Student council exceeding holiday toy drive goal

LA FERIA, Texas – The student council at La Feria High School exceeding the goal for their holiday toy drive. About 100 toys were collected. The school had more than six boxes filled with toys which will all be donated to Lexi’s Closet, a clothing donation project by La Feria ISD. Students, parents, and members of the community donated the toys to give to children in need.

Francisco Martinez, Student Council President, “We want to help the less fortunate kids who need help out there or just need joy in their life with this toy that our school provides. We like to think of service before self to help other children in need and just that they have a good Christmas and our toys can make them happy.”

The student council at La Feria High School does a toy drive every year to bring the community together. But most importantly to give back during the holidays.
