Starship to fly within next 1-2 months, Elon Musk visits Brownsville for SpaceX update

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A historic meeting for the future of interplanetary travel.

This weekend founder and CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk visits Brownsville for an update on company’s operations. He detailed some of their big accomplishments along with production on the latest rocket… known as Starship MK 1.  

 “This giant ship is going to do the same thing as grasshopper did,” says Musk, “So this thing is going to take off, fly 65 thousand feet, about 20 kilometers and come back and land in about one to two months.”

What we know so far:

It’s 50 meters wide, weighs 200 tons and is will one day carry 100 passengers.

The plan is to have the starship ready for its first flight by the end of the year and according to Musk, they plan to get it to space within the next 6 months.

Meaning, much more activity coming to the Brownsville site.

According to Musk, the vision is to have a spaceport with re-usable ships. Ships that would inspire mankind to look beyond earth.
