San Juan Homicide Suspect Arraigned in Court

The suspect in the death of a San Juan woman was formally arraigned on Saturday afternoon.  

41-year-old Mateo Fabian Garza is charged with first degree homicide. His bond was set at $2.5 million.
Police say the victim, identified as 41-year-old Melinda Ann Garza, was found Thursday night, August 16, inside a home in the 700 block of Shufford street.

Melinda Garza’s family alerted police to conduct a welfare check at the residence. She was found inside the home when police arrived.
