Beginning on Sunday, March 31 at 5:00 p.m. with a screen of the Academy Award winning film Roma. It will be followed up by a panel discussion with the National Domestic Worker Alliance. The event is dedicated to raising awareness about the pervasiveness of the labor and sex trafficking trades.

Jennifer Clark, STC Women’s Studies, “I think it’s important in particular where we are because of border issues because when we create restrictive immigration policies that enhances trafficking to a large extent because it enhances vulnerability. Everything that is going on right now sort of makes our conference timely.

The event will be free and open to the public. A full slate of topics and presentations will begin on Monday at 8:30 a.m. Sister Norma Pimentel and Congressman Vicente Gonzalez will offer opening remarks.
