Public help needed in identifying suspect

Sheriff’s Investigators need the public’s help to identify an alleged suspect involved in an aggravated assault on a public servant investigation. 

On Tuesday May 31st , the La Joya Police Department requested help from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office, for an officer involved shooting incident. The incident occurred at the El Pato Restaurant. When the driver of a parked vehicle reportedly rammed police cars. A La Joya Police Officer discharged his duty weapon at the vehicle, and the driver was able to flee the parking lot, to the Rio Grande River where a group of unknown persons crossed him into Mexico by means of a raft.

Sheriff’s Investigators adopted the investigation and have obtained aerial pictures of the suspect.  The suspect is seen wearing a dark colored shirt and shorts, and has a “sleeve” type tattoo on his right arm.
