PSJA Elementary Student Earns Second Place At Business Contest

ALAMO, Texas - PSJA ISD student Branndon Roy Perez is $250 closer to his goal of starting a small business after earning 2nd place in the local 2018 Guppy Tank Business Contest held May 23 in McAllen.

The 4th grade student was one of only seven finalists selected to present his idea to a panel of judges. His business proposal, named “The Dugout,” is aimed to get more kids outside playing baseball through an equipment rental, trade-in and training program.

As the 2nd place winner, Branndon not only gets to represent his school, Santos Livas Elementary and PSJA ISD, but will receive a cash prize to jump start his proposal for his small business.
