RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – President Trump introduced significant changes to asylum seekers in a memo for the Attorney General and Homeland Security Secretary.

The document outlines a series of measures to address the influx of migrants at the border. Among those, required a fee for asylum applications and work permit applications, and giving officials 90 days to come up with new regulations to ensure that asylum applications are adjudicated within 180 days of filing, except under exceptional circumstances.
