Local News

On today’s Pet of the Week, we’re going to introduce you to a cat named Dexter who’s looking for a forever home. We’ll also let you in on how you can donate money to the Brownsville Animal Shelter just by having a bite to eat.

“Hello, my name is Cristian Recio, adoption specialist here at  the Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care. With me I have Dexter. Dexter is our superstar pet of the week. Dexter is about six months old. He’s a male domestic short-hair. He’s very energetic and likes to play. He’s very energetic and likes to play. Dexter also likes to be petted and held. Dexter is also very sweet and he does great with other cats. If you’re interested in adopting, please stop by at 416 FM 511, Brownsville, Texas. Or call us at 956 544 7351. If Dexter is not what you’re looking for, there’s plenty of other cats and dogs that are available for adoption. We’re going to be having a fundraiser event at Peter Piper Pizza in Brownsville. 15 percent of anything you buy is going to go to the shelter as a donation.”

In order to get that 15 percent off though, you must present the blue coupon for it, which can be redeemed at the BARCC.
