Border Patrol agents seized more than 250 pounds of liquid methamphetamine and arrested a United States citizen Tuesday evening, May 16, 2017.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Falfurrias checkpoint seized the liquid meth, with an estimated value of over $8 million, after a Ford F-250 was referred to secondary inspection following a K-9 alert. The contraband was discovered concealed within the truck.

The driver, an adult male, was taken into custody and the vehicle was seized.  Agents remain vigilant and continue to work tirelessly to prevent illicit narcotics from reaching our communities.

Since October 1, 2017, RGV Sector has seized 1,456 pounds of methamphetamine.
