Over $400K in Cocaine Seized at Hidalgo Port of Entry

HIDALGO, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at the Hidalgo International Bridge seized alleged cocaine valued at $404,600.

CBP officers referred a green 2006 Ford Taurus for secondary inspection. The vehicle was driven by a 19-year-old male Mexican citizen from Reynosa, Mexico. Traveling with him was a 20-year-old female Mexican citizen also from Reynosa. After a physical inspection, 20 packages containing 52.47 pounds of alleged cocaine concealed within the vehicle were discovered.

CBP seized the drugs along with the vehicle. Driver and passenger were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents.
