Local News

The McAllen Police Department has released new information on the Wells Fargo robbery that occurred last week. Chief Victor Rodriguez says one of the two suspects, 34 year old Valeria Garcia is now in custody and is facing robbery charges. She was arraigned earlier today and her bond was set at $150,000. The chief has also identified a second suspect, 36 year old Joseph Robert Nocar.

“He is wanted and a warrant for his arrest in connection with this robbery has been issued. We are continuing to work together to bring him into custody, but at this point in time he is at large. We’re hopeful that before the day is out we might find him.”

The FBI says they will continue to work with McAllen PD to find the second suspect.

We’ll continue to bring you the latest details as they become available.
