The international celebration known as ‘Charro Days’ is a short time away. The Brownsville Festival celebrates a bi-national heritage at the end of February. The official poster for ‘Charro Days’ has been unveiled. Local artist Don Breeden has produced the posters for the past 18 years. He claims this year’s inspiration comes from a picture taken by a Brownsville Herald photographer.
Miguel Roberts, Photographer says, “I was at the right place at the right time taking this photograph in the international parade. I’m very flattered and honored.”
Lucy Escamilla, Charro Days President, “It’s a surprise for us too. We love it, we love the guessing of what it’s going to be.”
Posters are available upon request at the Charro Days office or at the Brownsville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
