New Year’s Resolutions Advice for Getting Healthy

It is the beginning of a new year. Many of us are well on our way to making New Year’s resolutions. Especially as it relates to health. But if you have found yourself giving up in the past, here is some advice to help you keep going.

It pretty much starts the same for everyone, a new year. Meaning the possibility to start over and recreate a better, healthier and fitter version of yourself.

Personal trainers say that everybody is thinking that this year is going to be the year to commit to do something different. To lose more weight, to look better, and feel healthier. The first three months, people come into the gym. Then it starts to slow down as summer gets closer.

So many of us give up too fast too soon for lack of motivation or not taking the proper steps. If you want to avoid that, here is some advice.

Gym goers say start slow. Don’t rush and take it easy. Stay positive and pace yourself. When you put too much on your plate that is when you feel like giving up. It is about mentality. The key is to motivate yourself.

Start slow. Feel accomplished with at least three visits to the gym a week. Remember why you started, but remember, the biggest part of being healthy is your diet.

If you’re looking to gain weight, gain more muscle. Increase your carbohydrates and your number of protein, if you want to decrease your weight, increase your protein as well but lower down your carbohydrates.

Remember don’t be too hard on yourself. Stay positive and above all take, it one day at a time.
