The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is making Outer Space a little less mysterious and a lot more fun.
The museum’s latest exhibit called, ‘Sun, Earth, Universe’, children can make their own space ship and test how durable it will be while experimenting with magnetic fields and planning a space mission with an interactive board game.
Felipe Pena, Children’s Museum of Brownsville, “It’s all about space exploration. It teaches the kids about how the Earth is changing, how where our planet is moving, how to study lights and our sun. What’s out there in the universe asking those deep questions to help people think about what’s going on. What’s out there, what’s potentially out there and maybe intrigue kids to stay in the sciences and study more about the universe.”
The exhibit’s use of STEM related activities gives children the opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fun and educational setting.
