New App That Can Detect Fake ID’s

Spring Break brings a spike in underage drinking to South Padre Island and other popular destinations. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and other state law enforcement agencies are gearing up to try and deal with underage drinkers. Some minors are 
are getting around the law and deceiving retailers by using high tech fake ID’s to purchase alcohol. But a new app is trying to combat that behavior.

Bryan Lewis, CEO Intellicheck, “The app is called Age ID. It’s used by over 55 law-enforcement agencies and countless numbers of bars and liquor stores. It is used to authenticate that the drivers license that somebody presents that they are over 21, is a real drivers license because we find that nationwide the police officers that use our app find that 1 out of 10 licenses that they are given are fake.”

Traditional methods of spotting fake ID’s aren’t working because the fakes have become very advanced. This app catches these state-of-the-art fake ID’s which could result in saving lives.
