Nature Trails Reopen

Local News

The nature trails around Rio Grande City have been reopened to the public. They’ve been closed since last week after several people reported seeing a mountain lion and her cubs in the area. The trails are a popular place for people to exercise. City leaders thought it was best to close the open space area as a precaution. A sighting of a Mountain Lion or a Bear in Starr County is not rare, but seldom happens that close to Rio Grande City.
