U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Pharr International Bridge seized alleged cocaine valued at $313,140.

The seizure occurred on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Officers referred a white 2008 Pontiac Torrent for a secondary inspection. The vehicle was driven by a 43-year-old female Mexican citizen from Reynosa, Tamaulipas. After a physical inspection of the vehicle, and the assistance of a K9 team, officers discovered 17 packages of alleged cocaine weighing 40.60 pounds.

CBP seized the narcotics along with the vehicle, arrested the driver, and turned her over to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations agents for further investigation.
