The Brownsville Police Department arrested two men for breaking into a neighbor’s house and stealing property.

According to the report, while the victim explained to police that property had been stolen, a neighbor approached them and informed them she believed the stolen property was in her son’s bedroom and was willing to show them.

The victim identified two handguns, one 50-inch TV, and a woman’s purse.

The neighbor identified the suspect as her son, Daniel Adolfo Salazar, 22.

Salazar denied involvement and identified his friend, Julio Alvear, 43, as a person who could verify his whereabouts at the time of the burglary.

During an interview, Alvear confessed to participating in the burglary and agreed to take detectives to recover the property from nearby field.

Both men were arrested and charged with burglary of habitation.
