The McAllen Public Utility (MPU) is notifying customers of a planned water outage.  Areas affected include Nolana to Redbud between 2nd and 4th streets.  There will be 150 customers that will be without service.

Water Outage is scheduled for tonight Thursday, January 5th 7:30 PM to 5:00 AM January 6th

Crews will be repairing water valves that were identified during a water audit.  These valves are critical to the proper isolation of the system.

MPU will be changing two valves at Nolana and 4th St. and changing one valve and installing a new main valve at Nolana and 2nd St.

“To better serve our customers, we decided to consolidate all the repairs this time to avoid disruption of service for a longer period or at different times,” said Mark Vega, General Manager for McAllen Public Utility.

For more information contact MPU at 956-681-3111.
