McAllen Public Library Helping the Food Bank of RGV with Donations

Local News

The McAllen Public Library is helping the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley collect canned food for those in need.

During the last few weeks of August, the library collected over 250 cans of food. The library reduced late fees to anyone who made a donation of protein items like beans, chicken, and tuna.

The Lark and Palmview branches in McAllen also took part in this drive. Library officials say they will have a similar canned food drive before the holiday season begins.
