McAllen Public Library Awarded a Grant for 90 Second Book Project

Join us for a grant award ceremony at the Main Library on Monday, October 10 at 11:00 AM. Best Buy will be presenting a check to Library Director Kate Horan in the amount of $5,000 to support a program called the 90 Second Book Project.

90 Second Books is a project that will utilize technology to engage teens in literacy-based activities. Through 90 Second Books, teens will be able to work collaboratively to promote literacy and the joy of reading to their community by creating short films about their favorite books that will be screened on different platforms throughout the community.
