Man walks from Brownsville to El Paso

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Step by step one world traveler has trekked more than 800 miles over the past few months to explore the U.S. – Mexico border.

With a tent and just a few supplies in tow, Bredt Bredthauer made the trip from Brownsville all the way to El Paso. He visited detention centers and spent time with immigrants along the way.

He says the journey was an eye-opening experience. 

“So many things surprised me. The people surprised me, the level of generosity, the level of openness, the amount of history in this area all the way” Says Bredt Bredthauer. 

Brethauer encourages others to take similar steps to try to understand the border and other issues.
