This weekend, LUPE will be celebrating the legacy of civil rights activist Cesar Chavez.
Members are inviting the community to come out for the 14th Annual Cesar Chavez March on April 1 in San Juan.
Hundreds of valley residents are expected to march for community resistance and immigration support.
New this year, is a superhero theme for children who will be fighting for their parents’ rights.
Sareth Garcia, LUPE Member, “The children have rights. The rights to be with their parents, the right to have a good education, and good health care. It’s international law.”
The march will begin on the north side of San Juan Municipal Park at 9:00 a.m. and will end at LUPE’s San Juan office. LUPE staff recommend the public to arrive early.
