Local high school hosting holiday toy drive

LA FERIA, Texas – The student council at La Feria High School is encouraging their peers and the community to donate toys for children less fortunate. The toy drive will be benefiting Lexi’s Closet, a clothing donation project by La Feria ISD.

The goal of the toy drive is to give the children of La Feria an unforgettable Christmas.

Cynthia Chairez, La Feria High School Principal, “We know that we do have a lot of families, not only in La Feria, but you know around the Valley who are in need and don’t get those celebrations like some of our students do. Some of our families do and just the gift of giving is really important.”

Anybody wishing to donate toys can drop off unwrapped toy’s for children 14 years and under to La Feria High School or to Lexi’s Closet which is located at Lee Elementary in La Feria.
