Local Elementary School Completes A Habitat For Monarch Butterflies

Local News

The McAllen Independent School District has completed another Learning Landscape.

It is a butterfly garden at Jackson Elementary. The first planting took place as the city of McAllen provided resources for the students. The butterfly garden will beautify the campus and will serve as an outdoor classroom for students.

This is an effort to promote the health of the Monarch butterfly population.
