WASHINGTON – Congressmen Vicente Gonzalez and Filemon Vela are pleased to announce that the Weslaco Post Office in Weslaco, Texas, has received approval from the Facilities Officials to begin accepting bids to repair the office’s parking lot.
“The U.S. Postal Service is one of America’s most treasured, long-standing services, Congressman Gonzalez said. “Recently, I received a constituent complaint about potholes in the parking lot at the post office in Weslaco, Texas. I am proud to announce that we now are on the path forward for pothole assessments and repairs. Ponies might have had to worry about roadblocks along the express, but modern citizens should not have to worry about their tires or cars being damaged. This is great news, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the residents of the 15th District of Texas – and Congressman Filemon Vela – to repair the Weslaco Post Office.”
“Improving the infrastructure of our cities is crucial,” Congressman Vela said. “My office was approached with concerns about potholes in the Weslaco Post Office, and quickly raised this issue with the federal agency responsible—the United States Postal Service. I am pleased that the first steps are taking place to fix the potholes and encourage constituents to continue reaching out for assistance with federal agencies.”
