Court records released exclusively to Local 23 News reveal a woman’s story of assault allegations against Oncologist Eugenio Galindo, a cancer treatment doctor.
The court document reads:
The plaintiff is cancer survivor.
Her oncologist was Defendant Dr. Eugenio G. Galindo. On October 5, 2016, she went for a monthly checkup with her oncologist, Dr. Galindo to go over her test results.
She was usually accompanied by her mother or her husband.
On this day; she went to her checkup alone.
After waiting for about an hour; she was put into an examination room. Dr. Galindo walked in while rolling his laptop computer and then sat in front of her.
A nurse did not accompany him. He sat silent while looking at his computer and after a few minutes; he told her that everything looked good.
As she stood up to leave; Dr. Galindo leaned forward onto her pushing her towards the wall; began kissing her and forced his tongue in her mouth.
She pushed him back and yelled for him to stop and then ran out of the examination room.
She suffered severe emotional distress as a result of the assault by Dr. Galindo.
She went months without a follow up appointment and was very concerned because she no longer had an oncologist that she could trust.
After nine months of emotional distress and no follow up or examinations by an oncologist she finally spoke to her family doctor and he referred her to a new oncologist.
Local 23 News is not releasing the plaintiff’s name.
The case was electronically filed on September 7, 2018. This is not related to the charges he has right now.
Yesterday, Dr. Galindo was arrested for two counts of sexual assault and one count of attempted sexual assault. He received a $20,000 cash bond.
The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief over one million dollars.
