Largest All Inclusive Park opens in South Texas

HIDALGO, Texas – The city of Hidalgo opening the first ever All-inclusive park, making it the largest in south Texas.

Hidalgo County in partnership with Valley View ISD and Capable Kids Foundation, making this park a reality for kids with disabilities. The inclusive park is welcoming to all kids with special needs, physical limitations, or social anxiety issues. The goal of the park is to create a safe space where kids can feel comfortable and play alongside their friends.

Melanie Watson, Capable Kids Foundation Board President, “For years there have been kids who had to just sit on the sidelines and watch their friends play and wish that they can get up on the playground. Now that’s changed, now we have a place in Hidalgo where these kids and these families can be welcomed.”

The park includes swings, merry go rounds, slides, sensory walls, and wheelchair access. It will also have a designated areas for kids ages 2 to 5.
