Jury Selection Resumes For Men Accused In Death of Border Patrol Agent

After a month’s break, jury selection for two men accused in the 2014 death of an off-duty Border Patrol agent has resumed.

Gustavo Tijerina-Sandoval and Ismael Hernandez-Vallejo are accused of killing Agent Javier Vega Jr. while Vega Jr. was on a fishing trip with his family near Santa Monica. Tijerina-Sandoval and Hernandez-Vallejo, are Mexican nationals.

Currently 400 jurors are being interviewed one by one. Jury selection hopes to wrap up in three to four weeks.

Trial is set to start April 23.
